World Premier of The Image

Tickets
On June 4 at Trinity Church Wall Street, Ryan performs with the GRAMMY-nominated Downtown Voices in the world premiere of Stephen Main’s The Image.  The piece explores the theme of individual dignity, drawing on the concept of Imago Dei — the belief in the divine spark within each person and the sacred freedom of conscience it entails. With a vivid libretto and sweeping choral and orchestral writing, The Image reflects on humanity’s struggle for liberty and justice across history, warning of the fragility of these ideals in the face of rising authoritarianism.
