England Caroler for Christmas Town at Busch Gardens Williamsburg

Running from November 14, 2025-January 4, 2026, Ryan will perform as an England Caroler for Busch Gardens Williamsburg's 2025 Christmas Town. The World’s Most Beautiful Theme Park is once again transformed with over ten million twinkling lights, one of the largest light displays in North America. Guests enjoy performances throughout the day and into the night by the carolers in England, the Merry Misfits in France, and a Celtic Christmas Celebration in Ireland.  Festive treats, holiday shopping and special photo opportunities complete this holiday tradition for friends and families. Assistant Music Director for immersive Into the Woods​​

Running from October 2-25, Ryan serves as Assistant Music Director for an immersive, site-specific production of Sondheim's masterpiece, Into the Woods. Directed by Miles Sternfeld (Sunset Boulevard, Joy:  A New True Musical) with music direction by Lena Gabrielle (Six: Boleyn National Tour, Vape: The Grease Parody, Emojiland, Balls: The Musical), this intimate new production invites audiences on a theatrical pilgrimage, gathering around a campfire before venturing into the forest itself on a private campground on Staten Island. With just 30 spots per performance, the experience unfolds under the stars with brand new acoustic orchestrations, actor-musicians, and the raw power of Sondheim’s score echoing through the night air. ​(Adapted from Kickstarter)

Frank in Secondhand Souls: The Musical​

On October 16-19, Ryan performs as Frank in the New York City premiere of Secondhand Souls: The Musical at The Players Theatre as part of the Short Plays Festival (Week 3). Secondhand Souls is a darkly absurdist 15-minute musical set in a cursed vintage clothing shop where fashion-obsessed souls never leave. Sloane Sinclair, a flailing fashion designer, stumbles upon a cursed vintage shop where the price of retail therapy is her soul. The shop's owner, Maeve, and her minions, Frank and Arthur, lure Sloane in for more than she expects in this campy, hilarious short. Written by Emmy-award winning Angela Harrer and composer Nomi Abadi, Secondhand Souls makes its NYC debut after a highly successful Los Angeles run.

Bryan in Out of the Blue​

On October 10 and 11, Ryan performs as Bryan in the world premiere production of Out of the Blue at Columbia University's Schapiro Theatre. Written by Lindsey Walko and directed by Tucker DeGregory, Out of the Blue is based on a series of human interest newspaper articles by Pulitzer Prize-winner Lane DeGregory of The Tampa Bay Times. Centered around a gazebo in a Florida town with a wind phone—a Japanese art installation/ritual where a disconnected rotary phone allows individuals to connect with loved ones who have died-- the vignette play watches and explores a series of characters’ interactions not only with the object, but the idea the object represents. Out of the Blue explores the intangibility of grief, the humor and wonder of the mundane, and the vitality found only in real-life miracles. Release of Masque: A Musical Revel Demo Cast Recording​

On September 29, the demo cast recording of Masque: A Musical Revel premieres on YouTube before being released on major streaming platforms October 1. Ryan stars as Prosper Prince on the demo cast recording after originating the role in the January 2025 reading of the show. Masque: A Musical Revel,​ spun from Edgar Allen Poe's Masque of the Red Death, follows a diabolical CEO, Prosper Prince, as he gathers those closest to him and retreats to a remote bunker after a devastating viral plague shuts down civilization. Fully supplied and staffed, he and his guests ride out the storm as they sing for their supper in a series of dark, campy, macabre cabaret entertainments.

Bottom & Egeus in ​A Midsummer Night's Dream

From July 26 - August 9, Ryan stars as  Nick Bottom and Egeus in Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream at Shakespeare in the Valley/Theater Under the Stars. William Shakespeare's iconic comedy shares the story of 4 Athenian youths who run away to the forest while a fairy, Puck, magically manipulates the youths' affections for one another. A troupe of actors rehearse to perform for the Duke on his wedding day, and  lead actor Nick Bottom is pulled into Puck's magical mischeif in the forest.

Judas & John the Baptist in ​Godspell

From July 26 - August 9, Ryan stars as Judas and John the Baptist in Godspell at Shakespeare in the Valley/Theater Under the Stars. In addition to performing as Judas and John the Baptist, Ryan will serve as the Music Director and contribute to the actor-musician production playing violin and ukulele during the show. A 1971 classic by Stephen Schwartz, Godspell utilizes a small group of people help Jesus Christ tell different parables by using a wide variety of games, storytelling techniques and hefty doses of comic timing. An eclectic blend of songs, ranging in style from pop to vaudeville, is employed as the story of Jesus' life dances across the stage. Dissolving hauntingly into the Last Supper and the Crucifixion, Jesus' messages of kindness, tolerance and love come vibrantly to life. (Adapted from mti.com)

On June 4 at Trinity Church Wall Street, Ryan performs with the GRAMMY-nominated Downtown Voices in the world premiere of Stephen Main’s The Image.  The piece explores the theme of individual dignity, drawing on the concept of Imago Dei — the belief in the divine spark within each person and the sacred freedom of conscience it entails. With a vivid libretto and sweeping choral and orchestral writing, The Image reflects on humanity’s struggle for liberty and justice across history, warning of the fragility of these ideals in the face of rising authoritarianism.

On May 1 and 2 at Trinity Church Wall Street, Ryan performs with the GRAMMY-nominated Downtown Voices alongside The Dessoff Choirs to take the audience on a soul-stirring journey through Giuseppe Verdi’s Requiem. This epic work will be paired with the world premiere of an exciting new choral work, It's a Journey, by Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Tania León, commissioned for Dessoff’s centennial commemoration. Conducted by Malcolm J. Merriweather with the NOVUS orchestra and soloists ​Angela Meade, soprano; J’Nai Bridges, mezzo-soprano; Won Whi Choi, tenor; and Kevin Short, bass-baritone.

Now in it's 4th year, The Comeback Cabaret is a Pop/Musical Theater revue that began as a celebration of the reopening of performing arts venues in New York City. Pop & Musical theater singers and songwriters of all types live out their dream and singing the songs they've always wanted to sing!

On March 6 at Trinity Church Wall Street, Ryan performs with the GRAMMY-nominated Downtown Voices alongside Amor Artis to perform Frank Martin’s Mass for Double Choir, a deeply spiritual and intricate composition; Thomas Tallis’s Spem in Alium, a 40-part Renaissance motet; and Orazio Benevoli’s Missa Tu es Petrus (for four choirs), featuring opulent Baroque textures and counterpoint. Directed by Ryan Brandau and Stephen Sands with Trinity Baroque Orchestra.

Jonas Fogg/Ensemble/US Judge in Sweeney Todd

On February 20, 21, 22, and 23, Ryan performs as Jonas Fogg and in the ensemble of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. Miles Sternfeld directs this Columbia University MFA Directing Thesis production at Lenfest Center for the Arts. Ryan also understudies the role of Judge Turpin.
An infamous tale, Sweeney Todd, an unjustly exiled barber, returns to nineteenth century London, seeking vengeance against the lecherous judge who framed him and ravaged his young wife. The road to revenge leads Todd to Mrs. Lovett, a resourceful proprietress of a failing pie shop, above which, he opens a new barber practice. Mrs. Lovett's luck sharply shifts when Todd's thirst for blood inspires the integration of an ingredient into her meat pies that has the people of London lining up... and the carnage has only just begun! When a devastating viral plague shuts down civilization, Prosper Prince gathers those closest to him and retreats to a remote bunker. Fully supplied and staffed, the plan is to ride out the storm in a series of cabaret entertainments. It is Halloween. Go ahead ... sing for your supper. Ralph/Bill Judas in Guilty! The Musical at Court Square Theater

On December 13, 14, and 15, Ryan performs as Ralph & Bill Judas in Guilty! The Musical, a new musical by Myles Carter, produced by Ketema Productions at the Court Square Theater.
Guilty! The Musical​ follows Todd Douglas, a prosecuting attorney and prodigy of the law in NYC. He’ll do and say anything to manipulate a jury and get a guilty verdict. One day he’s framed for a murder he didn’t commit and goes to prison. What will happen when Todd is forced to face his own convictions and challenge the system he’s woven himself into?

On September 6, 7, and 8 at 7:30pm, Ryan performs as Jeff in [title of show], the off-off Broadway revival with Kopcorp productions at Under St. Marks.
Experience the sincere, joyful, and hilarious journey to Broadway as a group of friends write an original musical about writing a musical about writing a musical. With only a 3-day run, you won't want to miss out!
[title of show] is a one-act musical that premiered at the Musical Theatre Festival in 2004. It ran Off-Broadway in 2006 at the Vineyard Theatre and played on Broadway at the Lyceum Theater in 2008. The original production won multiple Obie Awards Off-Broadway and was nominated for Best Book of a Musical at the 2009 Tony Awards. Ryan has been a superfan for years and could not be more excited to be a part of it all. Check out college-Ryan (with hair!) in the [tos] lore as the first "nine" in the iconic 9pft video.

A malhar is an Indian raga designed to beckon the rain. Esmail’s A Requiem for Water captures the beauty and awe of water while contemplating the fear and despair that surround its loss. As water exists beyond all beginnings and ends, Memory of Water considers the consciousness of water and how it carries in its memory both the splendor and devastation of our world.
